Joel Sastry is a Guitarist, Live / Studio musician, and Music Producer from Hyderabad, India.

Joel's musical journey began at the age of 14 — as a self-taught musician playing by ear, he took to the stage with a local thrash metal band. For 25 years and counting, he has performed Live with various bands and musicians, spanning genres from Rock, Metal, Jazz, Blues, Pop, and Gospel to Indian film songs.
Currently, he is the guitarist of the band Niraval
His previous projects include Blood, Wreckage, Skrypt, Kate Bowen, Groove Avenue, Jet B, Andrew Laureth, Self Machine & Total FunFusion.
Session Artist
Since 2012, Joel has been working as a Studio Guitarist for Indian movies , recording movie songs and background scores. He has contributed to projects led by renowned Music Directors in the Telugu Movie industry, as well as in Kannada and Tamil cinema.
He also does Session work for Independent Artists , tapping into a vibrant scene beyond the movies.
Original Music & Production
In 2020, Joel Sastry released his first EP, Healer showcasing his original music and composition skills.
Joel also provides music production, arrangement, and programming services, helping other independent artists bring their musical ideas to life. Working from his well-equipped home studio, he collaborates with artists from all over the world.
